Companies were dispatched for the dwelling fire. 43-9 arrived on scene reporting heavy fire from the rear 1st & 2nd floor of a 2 story sfd. Companies started with an interior attack for a short time, but were chased to an exterior attack due to the heavy fire conditions and a collapse. Numerous lines were placed in service.

Company 19 was dispatched for a transformer fire. Upon arrival, 19-9 reported he had a smoke condition inside the bldg which housed numerous elderly and ambulatory residents. They did have an outside transformer fire with an electricla fire inside the walls of a 2nd floor apartment. 19-9 requested addl apparatus and ems to the scne to evacuate the residents. Peco was requested to the scene for gas and electric, and for the high co readings from the 3rd floor of the bldg. Companies were on scene for more than 3 hrs.

Companies had heavy fire in the 2nd & 3rd floor of a large 3 story twin. Fire was into the void spaces between dormers and the roof area. Numerous lines were in operation. Truck companies vented the roof.

Companies were dispatched for the dwelling fire, P/d arrived reporting heavy smoke showing. 04-9 arrived reporting heavy smoke from a 2 story mor dwelling with possible entrapment. 2nd alarm was sounded. 04-9 reported all occupants were out of the bldg. Crews had heavy fire in the basement with heavy smoke through out. two 5" supply lines were dropped with 3 handlines being placed in svc. Truck companies did vertical & horizontal ventilation. 1 Fire Fighter was reported down and in cardiac arrest. EMS crews worked on and revived the Fire Fighter and transported him to Mercy Fitz, where he was last reported in stable condition.

Fireboard dispatched companies for the report of smoke in the dwelling. Police arived on scene in short time reporting heavy smoke showing with possible entrapment. A young girl escaped the home on her own. The father thinking the girl was still in the home went back in after getting out. Fire Fighters rescued the mother and father both from the home. They had heavy fire in the basement front, with heavy smoke through out the home. Fire was running across and thru the cieling joists. 4 lines were placed in service. Evac tones were sounded twice to back out and regroup, as access to the basement was difficult. The outside basement windows were covered with bars which crews cut with saws. Both mother & father were transported to Crozer for smoke inhalation.

Companies were dispatched to the scene for 2 Peco workers trapped at the top of a High tension wire pole. On arrivel crews found two men at the top, one standing on the wire, the other wrapped around the pole holding on. The bucket they had ridden to the top had malfunctioned, putting it between two support arms. This took away their work platform and means of eggress. They did have ropes for repelling down, but the way the bucket came to rest made it impossible for them to use. Philadelphia Rescue-1, Dep-1, and B/C-7 were called to the scene, along with Rescue-67 for their air bag. The U.S. Coast Gaurd helicopter was also requested, and ultimately made the rescue of the 2 men.

03-9 arrived reporting smoke showing from a 2 story mor dwelling. He ordered 03 to take the front and 74 to take the rear. Companies went in svc with 2, 1-3/4 water lines for fire in the basement with extension into the 1st floor.

Companies had heavy fire 1st floor with extension to the 2nd floor rear. Crews were in svc with 2, 1-3/4 water lines. Truck companies opened the roof and vented.

Companies got the dispatch for the dwelling fire with possible entrapment. 42-9 arrived o/s reporting heavy fire 1st floor with all occupants reported out of the bldg. 06-1 lead off with an 1-3/4 water line. There was extension into the front wall & porch roof area.

Police alerted Delcom to a house fire at 904 Clifton ave. Arriving companies reported heavy smoke from the 2nd floor of a 2 story sfd. Interior crews lead off with 1-3/4 off of Quint-06 while truck companies opened up the roof and vented. Fire was knocked quickly.

Companies were dispatched originally for an alarm.10-9 arrived reporting heavy smoke from the 2nd floor, and req the R.I.T. and re-dispatch for working fire. 10-2 arrived o/s and lead off with 1-3/4 water line. Crews went to the roof for ventilation. The fire was contained to a front bedroom. Fire is under investigation by County and PSP Fire Marshalls.

Companies got the dispatch for the dwelling fire. 06-7a arrived reporting heavy fire from the 1st floor front of a 2 story twin. Quint-06 went in svc with 1-3/4 water lines while 42 dropped the supply line. Crews made a good knock on the initial bulk of fire. Extensive overhaul was needed for the check for extension.

Companies were dispatched to the location for a bldg fire, in the old Drexel Hill Furniture wharehouse. The bldg is an old, very large, stone Mill bldg. 03-9a arrived reporting numerous electric wires down and arching, with fire on 2 poles and a transformer. There was also a fire in the bldg at the electirc panel. Companies dropped supply line as a precaution, and went in svc with an 1-3/4 line on the outside, and a dry chem inside.

Companies were dispatched for the bldg fire, fireboard advising they received 2 calls. 02-7 arrived reporting a room and contents on the 2nd floor of a 3 story apartment bldg. o2-1 arrived and placed an 1-3/4 water line in svc and made a quick knock.

Fireboard dispatched companies for the working fire with possible entrapment. 11-9c arrived reporting heavy fire 1st floor front. He also reported all occupants were out of the bldg. Crews went in svc with 1-3/4 water lines. They had heavy fire blowing out the front of a 2 story sfd. Companies had several handlines in service with truck companies opening up the roof and venting. It's unclear at this time, how many occupants were in the building and severity of any injuries. Numerous ems units were requested to the scene.

Companies were dispatched for the commercial bldg fire. 06-9 apparently came acroos this and called it in. They had a large almost 1 block square, 1 & 2 story commercial wharehouse with medium smoke from the "C" "D" corner. Companies made forced entry into the bldg and found the fire had been extinguished by the sprinkler system.

Fire Board dispatched the companies for the possible bldg fire, reported to be in the kitchen. 03-9 arrived o/s reporting heavy smoke from the 2nd floor of a 3 story apt bldg. Quint-03 lead off with an 1-3/4 water line and made a quick knock on the fire.

Companies were dispatched for an odor of smoke in the dwelling. They found fire in the 1st floor rear, 1 story addition to a monster 3 story twin. Crews made a quick knock on the bulk of the fire. They had extension inside the wall on the corner, but made quick work of that with opening up.

Companies were dipatched for the dwelling fire, reported to be in the bed room. P/D arrived reporting a working fire. 04-9 arrived reporting heavy fire 3rd floor of a 3 story twin. Crews lead off with an 1-3/4 water line, but were quickly turned back due to the heavy fire and extreme heat conditions. The entire 3rd floor outside, roof included, was encased in tin sheeting, which trapped the heat. Fire fighters re entered the bldg with 2 lines and made a good knock on the fire. The tin roof made for a lot of extra work. The tight street only allowed for 1 engine to get up the street, meaning all manpower with equipment had to walk at least a block and a half to get to the scene.

Companies were dispatched for the working bldg fire. Arriving crews had heavy fire 1st & 2nd floor of a 2 story wood frame. Fire was blowing out the windows and burning the wires on a pole next to the home. Companies lead off with deluge guns and exterior handlines due to the heavy fire conditions and condition of the bldg. Three 5" supply lines were dropped for water supply.

Companies were dispatched for the bldg fire. Arriving crews had a 3 story store front/apartment bldg approx 40' x 100' with fire in a 2nd floor front apartment. Fire fighters stretched an 1-3/4 to the fire apartment and made a quick knock. Primary search found an elderly male burn victim, with severe burns to the legs. The ambulance disaster box was requested due to the size of the bldg and possible number of victims. 3 people were transported including the burn victim.

It was learned that the elderly male has died from his injuries on Monday, the day after the fire.

Companies got the dispatch for a dwelling fire, "in the area of". Reported to be a basement fire. Companies arrived to heavy smoke pushing from everywhere it could. Companies lead off with 1-3/4 water lines to the basement. Fire rapidly spread through the walls, to the upper floors and eventually thru the roof. Crews were evacuated from the building for an exterior attack. Numerous master streams with 2 ladder pipes went into service. 4 supply lines were dropped to the scene for water supply.

Companies were dispatched for the dwelling fire, 16-9 arrived reporting a working fire in the kitchen of a 2-1/2 story twin dwelling. Companies started an 1-3/4 water line thru the front and made a quick knock on the fire while other members vented and checked for extension.

Collingdale police reported the bldg fire, alarm sounding with smoke showing from a 2 story store front with apartments above. Arriving companies had heavy smoke from the 2nd floor. Companies dropped supply line and stretched 2, 1-3/4 handlines into the bldg. Fire was found in the basement of an appliance store and was quickly knocked. Smoke had spread throughout the 2nd floor of the entire block of bldgs. The apt's above were evacuated, with 1 being treated on scene and 1 transported for minor smoke inhalation.

Companies got the dispatch for the dwelling fire, reported to be in the bedroom. P/D arrived reporting a working fire. 04-9A arrived reporting heavy fire 2nd floor rear. Crews lead off with a 2-1/2" water line backed up by an 1-3/4, and made a quick knock on the fire. Medim smoke made it into the exposure dwellings with neg extension of fire.

Leedom Fire Company was dispatched to the 600 block of CLymer ln for a dwelling fire. They were assisted by cover companies from out of County and out of State, on the call. Companies were available for service in about 15 minutes.

Covers from out of County & State were in numerous Delco stations for the day, so they could attend funeral services for fallen Fire Fighter, Michael Reagen.

Companies had a 3 story dwelling converted to apartments, with heavy smoke from the 2nd floor. Crews from 19 lead off with an 1-3/4 water line and made a quick knock on fire in the kitchen of a 2nd floor apartment.

Firefighters Mike Reagan, 19, Chris Miller, 21 and Joe Tesauro, 23 were all injured Wednesday, September 26, 2006, when the front of a burning garage collapsed, pinning them under the rubble and a 30' steel I beam.

Fire Board dispatched companies for the structure fire advising they were receiving numerous calls. P/D arrived confirming a working fire in a detached 3 car garage. 09-2 arrived o/s confirming p/d's report and went in service with an exterior attack with an 1-3/4 water line. Command advised fireboard of a collapse with Fire Fighters trapped. The r.i.t. and 2nd alarm were called for by command. Three 1-3/4" water lines and one 2-1/2" water line were placed in service. Fire Fighters worked frantically to uncover and free their fallen brothers. 1 Fire Fighter was transported to Fitz in cardiac arrest but was revived, thanks to the excellent work of our EMS people, and the staff at Fitz. All other Fire Fighters were transported to Crozer Chester. A total of 5 Fire Fighters and 2 police officers were injured either from the collapse or the effort to free those that were trapped. The Police officers were transported to Taylor for burns to the hands from the extrication effort, both were treated and released. The trapped fire fighters were pinned under a steel I beam outside the bldg when the front sliding doors and beam collapsed outwards pinning them underneath. Fire Fighters, Police and EMS on scene did a fantastic job working hand in hand extricating and treating the injured members.

Other Injured Firefighters and Police Officers:
· F/F J. Tesauro - 2nd Degree burns to leg, released Friday.
· F/F C. Miller - 2nd Degree burns to back and hip, released Saturday.
· F/F A. Payne - Minor Injuries, treated and released.
· Officer D. Kemp - Minor Injuries, treated and released.
· Officer E. Robinson - Minor Injuries, treated and released.


My thoughts and prayers to those injured Fire Fighters and those that are close to them.
My deepest heart felt sympathies go out to the Reagan family and the Sharon Hill & Holmes Fire companies where Michael was a member.

Companies were dispatched to the location for a bldg fire. Fire Board advised of numerous calls. Arriving units advised of numerous porta potties and trucks on fire. Companies dropped 5" supply and went in service with master streams and several handlines. Talk about some "Hot Shit".

16-9 had smoke showing from the roof of a 2 story twin dwelling. Crews stretched a line to a 2nd floor bedroom while truck co's opened the roof. Fire was found in the cieling area above the bedroom.

Companies were dispatched for the bldg fire. Arriving units reported a 1 story commercial trucking company with fire on the roof. Crews stretched 1 line to the interior and 1 to the roof. Interior crew reported no extension to the inside of the bldg., while exterior crew extinguished the fire on the roof.

Companies were dispatched for smoke in the dwelling. 19-9 arrived and placed crews in svc in the 2nd floor rear to open up for fire in the walls. He req'd the 2nd alarm for manpower. Crews had 2 lines stretched inside, and truck companies opened up the roof and eaves.

Companies got the dispatch for the basement fire. P/D arrived reporting a working fire with numerous explosions in the basement. 04-1 hand jacked a supply line and ran two 1-3/4 water lines into the bldg. Crews made a quick knock on the fire while outside crews ventilated.

Companies were dispatched for the working bldg fire. Arriving units found a large 1 story commercial bldg, irregular in shape. The section involved was approx 30 x 100 with fire in the roof area. Crews had 4, 1-3/4 water lines in service with truck co's on the roof opening up. The bldg was a bldg supply house. Crews kept the fire in check from spreading to the rest of the bldg. Keeping all fire damage to the front of the bldg.

Company 04 got the call for a fall with trauma. On arrival they found they had a jumper down from a 7th floor window onto the roof of the 1st floor. Pennstar was req to fly. EMS & Fire crews packaged the patient and took him in thru a window, and to the LZ.

Companies were dispatched for the dwelling fire. P/D arrived reporting heavy smoke from the rear. 04-1 arrived confirming heavy smoke and went in svc with an 1-3/4 water line. Fire was contained to the rear of the property.

Police came upon the working building fire at the Colwyn apt and notified Delcom. Fire Board dispatched for the working bldg. P/D started banging on doors to evacuate the bldg. 04-1 arrived and went in svc with an 1-3/4 water line for fire in a first floor apt. Ladder-21 ran a second line in. Fire was knocked quickly with all occupants of the bldg being safely evacuated.

They had fire in a 2nd floor front bedroom and in the walls and roof area. 2nd alarm was called for, for manpower. Crews made a quick knock on the bulk of the fire. Walls and cielings had to be opened for access to the remaining fire.

04-9 had fire in the 1st floor rear of a 2 story mor dwelling. 04-1 placed an 1-3/4 water line in svc and made a quick knock on the fire. Truck companies opened up to check for extension.
