237 W. Montgomery ave, Churchill Ct Apts, 4 Alarms  | | Approx 2300, Fire companies were dispatched for the odor of something burning on the 3rd floor. Engine 25-1 (Ardmore) arrived o/s reporting a fire in an apt on the 2nd floor rear, of a 4 story Y shaped apt bldg approx 40 x 200. They lead off with 1-3/4 wtr lines. They soon had 3 lines in operation and 25-5 (T.Hayden) asked for the 2nd alarm. He requested the 3rd alarm shortly after that. The fire was travelling the walls and ceiling in the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor. Numerous handlines were placed into service on both floors. Cover companies were then brought in to the scene. Fire was placed under shortly after 01:00.
