P/L-40 arrived o/s reporting heavy smoke from a 1 story Chinese Restaraunt. 3 lines stretched and operating, Truck co's opened the roof and vented. Fire under control by Deputy 1 holding all hands.

I don't know whether you remember me, or if you can tell which picture I'm sending this message under, but this is me, preparing to come down the 35' ladder at 61st & Woodland. I was also the guy who asked you to keep an eye on our equipment in the rear at the Elmwood Ave job the day before. I also came over to you at the 61st & Woodland job. Anyway, the guys have been talking about your shots, and we love them. We really appreciate what you do. Needless to say, any time you feel like stopping at our station at 65th & Woodland, when the D Platoon is working, you're more than welcome.
