HTBF held a combined drill with all 5 township companies participating, including Ems for rehab. They ran 4 different scenarios of bldg fires with, entrapment, evac's, hectic scene ifo the fire bldg, maydays, etc. It was a very well planned and executed drill, that gave all involved hands on experience in different situations.

I spent part of the night at the burn tower with crews having burns and scenarios for 1st & 2nd floor. They did quite a few revolutions, so everyone there got a turn. They were still stoking the fires when I left at 9pm.

Brookline had the opportunity to drill on an abandoned house. They used smoke machines to fill the home with smoke. Crews got to do live scenarios with hose lines, ladders and ventilation tools.

Company-19 held a combined drill with companies, 24, 22, 16, & 03 along with EMS and Medics from Mercy Fitz. A simulated fire on the 3rd floor of the apt bldg with victims was the scenario.

This 2 day course was held in Claymont Delaware. This course teaches tricks of the trade that were learned through fire ground experience. Ground ladders, hose advancement, forced entry, ventilation, search, R.I.T. A great course for everyone, new or old. Half a day in the class room, then 1-1/2 days in the field with hands on. Manoa Fire Company held a Rescue drill with a staged accident. 2 vehicle mva with 1 overturned on it's side, leaning on the 2nd vehicle which was in a ditch.

Upper Providence held a mass casualty drill at the media train station. Septa provided trains and observers to oversee the exercise. Stations 73, 23, 41, 44, had fire apparatus there, while ems was represented by sta's 23, 41, 52, 69, & medic-104. I may have missed some due to apparatus staging away from the scene. The scenario was a train vs car accident with multiple victims, fire and entrapment. Other fire officials were on hand to observe including Phildelphia Fire commissioner Lloyd Ayers.

This is an all day training session in Claymont Delaware. It consisted of Truck Co ops & 2 scenarios with smoke & victims.

Brookline & Manoa Fire Companies combined for a drill together. They went over each companies trucks for equipment familiarization, then went into some master stream and Ladder pipe ops.

A crew from 26 went to the U.D.H.S. and practiced their repelling skills. While there, they took delivery of the new Quint-26, pictures 54 & 55.
