| Blue Route I-476 S/B, just before the Exit for Rt-1 Media By-pass. A car carrying mattresses on it's roof, lost it's cargo. As a result this Blazer was flipped while trying to avoid the debris flying in front of it. The 40ish female driver was thrown from her seat belt to the passenger rear seat of the truck. Her arm was crushed when it went out the open door and the door then closed on her arm. It was also partially under the truck. Rescue's 53 & 44 worked hard together raising, stabilizing, and opening the truck to free the woman. Marple & Springfield EMS along with Medics-108 & 106 worked on the woman during the extrication. Pennstar flew the woman to H.U.P. where she was treated for a broken neck and severed arm, the arm was held together by skin only. |
